My sweet baby girl is now a TEENAGER!!!

It is hard to believe that my little Rach (who is not so little anymore) is 13 today. My how the years fly by. I am grateful and blessed to have the most amazing daughter. She is truly my example every day of strength, determination, and faith. We didn't have a big birthday celebration like last year. Last year, everything was pink at her party. Everyone dressed in pink and we went to the mall and had a pink scavenger hunt collecting all things pink and eating pink treats. We had a blast and her friends are still talking about it a year later. This year was mellow by comparison. Today is Thursday and so she went to school. Rees and I got her out early and took her to one of her favorite lunch spots. Granato's. We then went shopping to buy extra birthday gifts. Came home, opened lots of presents being interrupted by friends and neighbors bringing presents as well. Then we rushed out to Garrett's baseball game with Grandma Rose. For dinner Rachel had her choice of restaurants. Asian Star was her choice. YUMMY as always!!! We ended up blowing out the candles on her cake in the bathroom, because Garrett wouldn't get out of the tub and we couldn't wait for chocolate any longer. Overall it was a fun day. How lucky she is to have a birthday in May. The weather is beautiful, new flowers blooming, and everything is perfect.

My "Practically Perfect" Teenager

What a GREAT time to be a teenager!

Rachel also celebrated her birthday early with her Dad whose birthday is on April 21st and her cousin Stevie whose birthday is April 12. Each year it is our tradition with the family to play baseball at the park for Rachel and Garrett's birthday. We always have a great time! We stay until it gets too cold or too dark, whichever comes first. This year it was a little chilly. But fun!!!
